In a move set to accelerate even more life-changing Australian medical bionic innovations to market, Bionics Gamechangers Australia and the University of Sydney are joining forces as part of an exciting new partnership.

Immediately evident were the many interests shared between the University and Bionics Gamechangers Australia, particularly within the context of what Bionics Gamechangers Australia CEO, Dr Robyn Stokes characterised as “an incredible unfolding era of bionic-medtech innovation”.

“The University of Sydney already has a wide array of projects and initiatives that will progressively deliver integrated bionic solutions for a range of health and disability issues, and its partnership on the Sydney Biomedical Accelerator will take this contribution to a whole new level,” said Dr Stokes.

“We are thrilled to be hitting the ground running together in a collaboration that will deliver tangible benefits to the sector while uplifting insights around medical bionics across faculties, centres and hubs.”

Professor Julie Cairney, Pro Vice-Chancellor (Research Enterprise) at the University of Sydney, added:

“As one of the most comprehensive groupings of health and medical researchers in the Asia Pacific region, the University of Sydney is delighted to be working with Bionics Gamechangers Australia in uplifting biomedical entrepreneurship towards improved clinical outcomes for all.”

The University of Sydney joins a flourishing list of Associate partners who will play a key role on Bionics Gamechangers Australia’s Reference Panel – a small suite of national representatives from Associate universities, industry, hospital, health, SMEs, and health consumer groups – injecting their thoughts, expertise and ideas to accelerate Australia’s medical bionic innovations to market.
