In the News: BioSpine Reshapes Thinking for SCI Rehabilitation

It was great to see Griffith University Gold Coast’s BioSpine team profiled on Network Ten’s The Project this month – truly extraordinary work helping to reshape our thinking around rehabilitation options for people with spinal cord injuries.

The first person to road test the cutting-edge technology was Griffith University co-researcher Dr Dinesh Palipana (pictured above and below), 14 years after a car accident paralysed him from the chest down.

As this fantastic media coverage shows, the BioSpine project and its allied research program continues to impress as one of the world’s first fully integrated bionic mobility solutions.
